01/18/05 - I'm in Lake Tahoe, chillin' at the Embassy Resort.  It's perty nice.  I've got pictures.  Here we go.  This will be Album 56 eventually.

When we got up Sunday morning there was snow on the ground and it was still coming down pretty good.  We got delayed a bit when they had to de-ice the plane.

The Grand Canyon from the plane, we circled while waiting to land.  A shot of the mountains as we drove from Reno airport to South Lake Tahoe.

Jason and I made a quick trip to San Francisco to check out Tony and Tim's new pad in the heart of the Bay area.  Awesome.

Here's our accommodations and a shot across Lake Tahoe from in front of our building.

The lake and mountains on our first trip up in the Gondola.  There's Tony and Brian...

...and Mike and Jason.  Also a shot from up top.

Here we are up top taking in the view.  Yours truly.
I've got some good pics that will go together for panoramas
I'll get that up here at some point.

One last shot for now of the mountains and our gear warming up by the fireplace.

ROUND 2

Just a few more pictures, it's Saturday night, we leave early tomorrow, fly in to Phoenix, and then back to Cleveland.  We've heard the weather has been rough in C-town, we might get delayed.  We shall see.

Monday, our first day out, the air was pretty clear and I got some decent shots of the mountains and Lake Tahoe (see above).  From Tuesday forward, the entire lake was covered with a thick layer of low clouds/fog.  We talked to a number of the locals and they said it was pretty strange and never happens for this long.  It looked really cool.

You can see the snow blower we all thought was pretty slick.  Tracks instead of tires?  Nice!
