| When Henry Ford built the model-T, he said
"You can have it in any color you like, as long as it's
black".
That's how I feel about our presidential election. You
may think you have a choice, but you really don't. How much
do Bush and Gore actually differ on any given issue? Who
knows! In the end what they believe personally really
doesn't make that much of a difference. A committee will
make the final decision.
The fact of the matter is, every 4 years there's an
"election" that always comes down to 2 people from the
same 2 places - the democRATS, (hehe) and the republicans.
This is a choice? Hmm, decisions decisions. Should I
eat the red M&M or the blue one? It doesn't make a
difference! In the end you'll get the same taste.
But, just to make things fun, let's see how much money these
two figureheads can raise for their campaign. We'll throw in
a huge illegal flow of money from corporations, religious groups,
or anyone else who wants a say in our law-making process.
It's just all so messed up and everything seems backwards to
me. I think our government should start over, from the
ground up, using what we've already learned. Rewrite the
books that govern our lives. Strive to improve things
instead of just trying to keep them from getting worse.
That's what I would like to see.
