00:01 - We won our softball game today, last night, whatever.
I had to pitch 'cause
TJ
couldn't be there. I walked a few suckas, but only gave up, oh,
like 12 runs. :) We won though, did I mention that?
lol
I smashed another shot out towards left center.
That's my spot I guess. Every good shot I've had goes in almost
the exact some direction. Not good really. I used to be able
to go opposite down the first base line, but that hasn't worked out well
the last few times I tried. At least I'm finally nailin' some
again.
I just had some doors open on the drums. I love
it. Sometimes it just rolls away on it's own, and I just absorb.
lol I've played the hi-hat with my right hand, but I'm a natural
lefty, and I've started playin' opposite and it's working out well.
I'm tryin' to train all the limbs to be versatile. Opens my eyes
to new stuff in the process.
We had a little Tribal Council meeting tonight for our
weekend campin' trip. How come we always end up plannin'
everything too late. It'd be so nice to have everything
set/packed/ready the week before. It's the same ol' thang though,
we'll stress on all the details now and once we get there it really
doesn't matter anyway. I take that back, sleeping on a hill
matters. But it's still all in the name of fun.
I'm supposed to be packing up my stuff right now, but I
had to drop ya'll a line before gettin' that started. You deserve
some news, dontcha...
PUSH IT
OOOH. Here's a good one. P2P or peer-to-peer
file sharing networks (Napster, Kazaa) etc all work on the notion you
search for and then download what you want. That is, you "pull"
the files from those other people.
Now the file sharing phenomenon has a "push"-based
application under it's belt. Check out
konspire! In short,
you sign-up for channels with content that interests you and then you're
done. The program downloads material that is pushed to you by the
people running the channels. Security risks aside, dat's some coo'
shit!
WATCH THIS
Oh
hey, what's up man? I brought you that new MP3 I was tellin' you
about the other day. You remember?! That schweet new tune by
[insert current underground phatness here].
Well anyway, let me just plug my watch in to your
laptop/PDA/digital media player and transfer it over so we can jam it.
HUH! Yeah, they built a memory card in to a wrist
watch and gave it a USB cable to connect to devices. If it had
Bluetooth as well, or instead, that'd be nice. Come on
LAKS, get wit' it.
SHUTTLE HERE, SHUTTLE THERE
Our space program has been reliant upon the same basic
type of spacecraft since the 60's. The race is on to become the
next supplier for the transportation vehicles our astronauts use.
Read all about it.
That's it folks. I'll end today's early entry with
a quote I just saw in an e-mail I received from a good customer of mine.
"Life does not cease to be funny when people die any more than it
ceases to be serious when people laugh."
Right on! :)
13:52 - Got some business out of the way this morning, went over to
Rich's and helped him load up some wood in the Blazer, and came back
here to finish packing up my belongings for this weekend. Cloths
mainly, everything else is in others' hands. I'm borrowing a tent
from Julie since my last tent got destroyed due to high winds and
improper setup.
I'm charging up a fleet of batteries for the toys I'm brining.
Mainly camera and walkie talkies. You wouldn't believe the
conversations that go on at these things over the open walkie talkie
channels. What else? Blankets, a pillow or two. Water
beer and booze is later. Food I'm not too worried about.
I'll just get a small meal here and there from the concession stands.
I hate bringing food and trying to cook it. It's great to have
home-cooked stuff, don't get me wrong, but it's more of a pain than it's
worth.
The weather situation has improved. Now there's only a small
chance of rain on Sunday, the rest of the weekend looks clear, or at
least under 30% chance of rain. I can live w/that.
I and believe with that I shall leave you for the weekend.
Everybody have some safe fun and return to me on Monday or Tuesday.
Peace!
Jr.
