10:57 - Mornin'. Didn't realize it's been so long since I
blogged.
Pops just told me last night that he's thinking about
retiring. I was surprised for a split-second, but then it made
complete sense. This is a guy who has worked his ass off at
the same place since his college days! He deserves to play
golf and drive his Porsche for many years to come without any more
hassles from the working world. I still have my hopes of getting
him to participate in CompuSense,
but if not I won't hold it against him. Too much. ;)
I was supposed to go to the Windows Server 2003 launch
party at the IX center, but I've got a 2pm hair cut and the event was
9-5, which is a bit too much Microsoft PR for me in the first place.
Plus, to get my goodies I would have had to gone back after the hair
cut, and that just aint gonna happen, so I said umph dat.
I'm a bum, I know.
Here's a good one I came across this morning.
Thailand's finance minister got trapped inside his transportation
(it was a BMW) after the electronics controlling the vehicle took a
poop. The doors locked, the windows wouldn't roll down... they
said they were running out of air. Luckily, a nearby security
guard noticed and saved the day in the same way I'd love to solve some
of the computer problems I deal with on a daily basis - with a
sledgehammer. :)
That's it for the moment. I think it's time to
throw some more instant chocolate chip cookies in to the oven.
Gotta love these pre-made goodies. lol
