We just found
her body.
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 28 — The child’s body found
by volunteer searchers near San Diego belonged to missing
7-year-old Danielle van Dam, officials said Thursday after

The
latest in a line of probes sent
35 million miles to
study Mars has found hard evidence of water, and lots of it.
March 1 — Mars holds vast stores of water ice
right near the surface and away from the permanently frozen
south polar ice cap, scientists said Friday in announcing first
major science findings from NASA’s Mars Odyssey spacecraft.
We just got a tape of
his gruesome death.
March 4 issue — “My father is a Jew, my mother
is a Jew, and I am a Jew.” In the last moments of Danny Pearl’s
life, his kidnappers forced him again and again to denounce his
family, his country and his religion, and to warn the world that
he would not be the last to suffer if the United States did not
change its ways. A video camera trained on his unshaven,
sleepless face, Pearl mumbled the terrorists’ script. “Americans
can’t walk around free as long as our government’s policies
continue,” he said. “America will bear the consequences of our
government’s unconditional support for Israel.” Photographs of
weeping Arab women, the supposed victims of American and Israeli
aggression against Palestinians, periodically flashed on a
screen as he spoke.
A "study" says

our good friend cancer.
March 1 — Details from a progress report on
fallout from nuclear weapons tests — including a rough estimate
tying them to 15,000 cancer deaths in the United States — have
fueled the debate over what, if anything, the U.S. government
should do. Some health experts emphasized that the relative risk
of cancer from fallout is low. Other activists said that
regardless of how many or how few the surviving cancer victims
are, they should be helped.
