10:32p - Uh, good day. This is Ed. Actually, I'm
sitting here next to Ed. He says hi. He's watchin'
"Basic Instinct" w/pops. Law & Order isn't on for
another 30 minutes. :)
Today was good. I got some work done in the morning - finally
took care of that stack of paper building up on my desk - and then I had
a meeting about a new web site I get to setup. www.PrimeTimeInsurance.com
baby. :) Good name ey? You'll get a discount if you
get home/auto or health insurance and you mention my name. Just
say that you know The Geek. :)
Anyway, that'll be up in a few days, right now it hasn't gone through
the DNS system. What's DNS you might ask? GOOD
QUESTION! For anyone who surfs the 'Net, this is pretty important
stuff.
Domain Name System is what takes www.edippjr.com
and turns it in to 216.144.1.119. That number is called an IP
address, but you knew that, right? Once the name is resolved
into the actual address, your browser can contact the server directly
and request the web pages it's looking for.
Good info for ya on a Monday night.
Tim & Eric left for FL today. They picked up a train in VA
to take them & their g-rides
down w/em. The Black Sox are minus two of the original
teammates. We found out this Sunday that Nathan
is a bomb-ass pitcher. Now we've got Chybo, Ross, and Nate.
I've been known to throw a pitch or two - back in season uno that
is. I picked up the ball and threw pitch at the beginning of a
game earlier this year and had to pitch to the first batter. That
was silly.
This is good. I just saw a story on the news about a huge
drug bust in North Royalton. 550 pounds of marijuana was taken, .."worth
an estimated 1 million dollars on the street". I did a
quick search
on Google for "North Royalton drug bust" and guess what
came up?! Our po-lice buddy from high school. Yes sir-ee,
good ol' Mike Scott, remember him?
For those of you who didn't go to BBHHS,
we had security guards in our parking lots. Who doesn't these days
right? (They didn't do a very good job of stopping cars from
getting keyed... hmmm....) Anyway, our school hired off-duty
police officers to sit there in their cars and do nothing.
"Hey, what are you doing? ... Oh really?
Can I have some?"
LOL I'm getting pretty sarcastic at this point, but you gotta
go read the first article my search turned up. Click
here. 1) They've got these guys working as police
officers? 2) They've got these guys sitting in our school
parking lots? Interesting at the very least.
OK, it's after midnight and I've got plenty to do tomorrow, so I'm
5000 g.
"It's a lot easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask fro
permission."
Good one ey?
