This
little PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) runs Linux - an alternative to
Windows - which is much more reliable. It can have up to 12GIG
worth of storage. Here's the
scoop over at TechExtreme. Oh yeah, it's called the Terapin
Mine. Wierd name.
Are you ready for "smart" cloths? About about this;
your new silk shirt will tell the washing machine to go easy, and not to
use any bleach either. You'll track down your kids using some sort
of wireless monitoring device that's built into their sneakers,
etc. There's a million ways to utilize something like this.

Broadband Internet access in the US has skyrocketed - up 158% last
year. I know I've been helping people left and right get setup
with Adelphia's PowerLink
cable modem service. It's awesome. I've had terrible
experiences with DSL, from installation to outages, so if you're lucky
enough to have a choice between the two, cable is the way to go IMHO (in
my humble opinion). MSNBC has some
words for you on this subject.
I'm trying to find this damn announcement about a digital video &
still combo device from Panasonic.

IT! This thing sounds like it's going to kick some serious
ass! MSNBC comes through with the
dilly as usual. OK, it's a digital still & video
camera combined in one. My favorite stat is that it is network-ready,
which hopefully means I can just jack it in to my network and use it
as a webcam, or to transfer video & images to my computers.
One funny note about this posting; they changed the picture that was
originally accompanying the story. At first it was an Asian model
with a VERY "not good" dental situation.
The message board concerning this article was flooded with comments -
not about how sweet the device sounds - but with people tearing apart
the butt-ugly model that they had used in the picture. I'm not
sure, this might still be the same one, but she's not smiling as big as
before. LOL

Next weekend, Saturday, August 18th, I'm jumping out of a
plane. I really don't care if I have to go solo. I'm sick of
everybody's stupid-ass excuses. It usually works like this.
"Hey guys, I'm going sky diving next weekend, who wants to go?
"Yeah man, I want to go so bad!! I'm in! When are
we going! Sweet! I'm pumped! I can't wait!"
Then when it comes time to actually go...
"Oh, uhh, my dog ate my nutz, err, uh, I lost my wallet, and
uh, I stubbed my toe, and, yeah. We'll go later, OK?"
'Nuff of that shit! It's on, anybody that wants
to go, just go to the page.
