4:02p - Waaaaasssssuuuuuup! Wow, great holiday weekend!
I went to Virginia to see my sister and my niece Kaya, as well as
"daddy Sean". LOL (Pictures soon!) I left at
about 5 on Friday with my mom and step-dad Dave. It was a hike,
let me tell you. Over 7 hours to get there. :( But it
was worth it!
We took Kaya to Chuck E Cheese on Saturday, she loved it. They
showed me around town too. For those of you from Bivillia, think
MetroParks times 1,000,000! It's beautiful! Mountains, lots
of water, all dat shit!
My sister, Kaya, and myself went to a fair in downtown Roanoke on
Sunday. Nothing special, but I did get to see the city. Very
clean, quaint, and cool. I forgot my camera that day, so I didn't
get pictures. :( Do'ah!
Sunday night I took Steph, Kaya, and Sean out to dinner at a place
called Macados. Really good grub. I got a turkey club like
usual. Then we all feasted on some desserts, I got this chocolate
brownie type thang that was oh so good. They all helped me with
it. :)
All in all, it was a great memorial day weekend. I'm so proud
to see my sister setup in her own place before me, and a little jealous
too I guess. :) As long as she is happy, then I'm
happy. Her and Sean have Kaya behaving like a very mature
almost-3-year-old child, and that's awesome to see too. I'll post
the pictures in Album 20 sometime soon.
In other news, I just found an article about something I touched on
months ago called "geocaching". Basically, it's a
world-wide scavenger hunt. All you need to participate is a GPS (Global
Positioning System) unit, which are available for under
$100 in your local electronics store. Once you've got that, you
can log on to the geocaching web sites, scribble down the coordinates,
and off you go looking for whatever prizes may be in your area.
Well, now a movie studio is using this hot new hobby as a way to
promote their flick. This
article on MSNBC has the whole scoop. Cool shit!
Another good article to read currently on MSNBC is about the Echelon
system - a spy network that monitors EVERYTHING world-wide.
(Isn't that scary, everything is "world-wide" these
days. It's a small world after all, it's a small world after
all...)
Anyway, some European group determined that there's no conclusive
proof that the US-led spy system is being used to snoop on
Euro-companies. No proof = no proof. I'm sure our greedy-ass
politicians are snooping like crazy. They'll find proof soon
enough. Anyway, here's
the story.
Gotta run for some night appointments, I'll talk to ya soon!
