9:01am - Well hello 'dere children.  Happy Friday to you all.  I swam laps for 26 minutes straight this morning, beating my previous record of 25 minutes.  I'm telling you, work out in the morning and you'll have energy all day, no joke.

Anyway, yesterday was crazy.  I was out and about all day, again, which is great because that means LOTS OF BILLABLE HOURS.

What's New in Brecksville

Sgt. Lody is still fat.

Geek Speak (Tiff, you can skip this part.)

Here's a sweet article.  People have been talking about networking home appliances - toasters, microwaves, washing machines, etc. - for a while now.  Well, there's a company called iReady that has created an easy and very affordable way for all electronics manufacturers to include the ability for communications into their products.  The really stupid example they give is that your hot pot could notify you when it's been used via e-mail or a text message to your celly, whateva.  "We'll know when grandma has made tea!"  Good lord people, get a brain!  Here's some stuff that would actually be useful;

  • When your coffee is done reheating in the microwave it lets you know (my dad's coffee always sits in the microwave until it's cold again LOL)
  • The load you put in the washer is ready to go to the dryer (now we just need a system that handles that for you.  It could be soooo simple.  This is why I need my company to blow up so I can bring products like this to the market!)
  • You could open and close the garage door from anywhere

Now that's stuff that makes sense.  Their main point was the you could monitor your elder parents and make sure they're not burning the house down.  I guess that could be useful.

Anyway, I got that from Technology Review, great tech site.

Yesterday I had the pleasure of working with Tiff, which reminds me that I have to re-post her senior picture.  Somehow it got lost in the shuffle when my entire site got wiped out, so I'm gonna fix that really quick.  OK, I'm so sorry Tiff!  If you would have bugged me once or twice I would have gotten it fixed much quicker.  :)  Anyway, it's back up, so go drool.

OK, now it's time for me to go do some work.  Boring, I know, but necessary.

Peace love dope

PS. - BG this weekend?  Anyone else want to join in the fun?  Buzz me!

image6:39pm - I'm going crazy trying to get out of here for BG.  I just found what you see here on the right.  This is a robot, built in memory and all, sitting on a dime!  I thought it was at least a quarter, that's a fuckin' dime!  Doesn't it look like a tank?  The article mentions how you could put a camera, microphone, chemical/temperature sensor, or just about anything.  Wow.  This is how small electronics are getting these days.  Click here for the CNN article.

This if the possibilities!  Illegal things are first to mind.  Imagine little Tommy waking up in the middle of the night screaming

"MOMMY THERE'S A ROBOT UNDER MY BED!"

Hehe.

OK, so I just called James & decided not to go to BG.  Mike went to OSU and Jame's roommate wants to come home tonight, so damn it I'm stayin' here.  O'well, this stuff always falls through.  :(  I'm going off on my computers right now, all kinds of shit going on.

Here's another crazy thing I found today.  You can search the death certificate database at www.ancestry.com.
