Back to Diary Home

What a great day!  Payday, Friday, sunny, what more could I ask for?   I've basically become attached to my RollerBlades.  I can't wait to go to the skate-park and get crazy!  I'll end up killing myself but I'm sure it will be worth it.  Yesterday was the first time I came really close to getting road rash.   Plus, I lost the receipt for the cheap protective gear I bought so I probably won't be able to return it now!  That really makes me mad because I never lose stuff!   The "little people" must have gotten it.  :)  The other day I went into the computer store to look at the games and I found a couple must-buy games.   There's a new Star Wars RPG called "Rebellion" that looks absolutely amazing.  You get to control your forces (Star Destroyers, troops, etc.) and you try to control as much of the galaxy as you can.   On the box it looks like they've incorporated all kinds of shots from the movies and stuff like that, so this should be a really good game.  Plus, there's an expansion set for X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter that I really want to get because that game is really sweet.  (I play it all the time online against all kinds of people.)

On a sad note, Frank "Blue Eyes" Sinatra passed away at the age of 82.  He died due to a heart attack last night with is wife at his side.  My dad is going to be really depressed about this one.  He listens to Frank religiously.   :(

I got to go to the Indians game tonight thanks to MVL.  We had a great time.  I love Cleveland!

Notable things I noticed while at the game:

  • A guy proposed to his wife between the 2nd and 3rd innings.  They started playing that wedding music and they put 'em up on the big screen in a big heart frame as he proposed.  Skipper was there and everything.  How romantic right?

  • These two old people were walking up the steps (we were in section 559=nosebleed) and they were so blasted.  The old guy was hollering hello to everyone and the old lady kept laughing so hard it was ridiculous.  Then she stopped and asked me if I wanted "to go up to row P and I'll take your seats!"  I was like "Uh, no thanks."  I don't know, I just thought this was funny.

  • The scoreboard broke for about 10 minutes at one point and the fans started clapping as to insight a riot, but to no avail.  :)  (That was a joke, laugh.)
